Oregon stays perfect behind the long ball and 19 strikeouts from its pitching staff.

LAS VEGAS - The Oregon Ducks (9-0) remained perfect on the year with a decisive 7-2 victory over the Arizona Wildcats (1-8) at the Live Like Lou College Baseball Classic at Las Vegas Ballpark.

The Ducks entered the contest with 13 home runs through eight games and added three more to their season tally with long balls from Ryan Cooney, Jax Gimenez and Angel Laya. Six of the team’s seven runs were a result of the homers, which consisted of a solo shot as well as two-run and three-run blasts.

While the offense did its part by scoring seven runs off 11 hits - five of which went for extra bases - the pitching staff was just as impressive. Three hurlers who toed the rubber for the Ducks Friday night combined for 19 strikeouts - the highest output in a game since the 2021 campaign produced 20 against New Mexico State (April 3).

Will Sanford got the start for Oregon and lasted 3.2 innings and 82 pitches; however, in that span he managed to strike out seven - tying a career high - against two unearned runs, two hits and three walks.

Tanner Bradley (1-0) picked up his first win in his seventh career appearance - all in relief - over two years with the Ducks. Bradley entered the night with 10 career strikeouts and nearly equaled that total by fanning nine batters over 4.1 frames of work. He was touched for three hits and walked one.

Ryan Featherston closed out the affair by striking out all three batters he faced in the ninth.

The Ducks flew ahead of the Wildcats early with a one-out solo homer from Gimenez. The lead grew to four runs after the second when Drew Smith led off with a triple and then scored two pitches later off an RBI single from Burke-Lee Mabeus. Three batters later, Cooney stepped up & took an 1-1 offering from Arizona starter Owen Kramkowski (0-2) over the fence in left field.

Arizona was able to claw two runs back off a pair of Oregon miscues in the fourth, taking advantage of a two-out, throwing error and a dropped fly ball.

Laya capped the scoring in the fifth with a one-out, three-run homer, which plated Maddox Moloney and Mabeus.

Kramkowski was roughed up for six runs off of nine hits with four strikeouts and two walks.

Both teams return to action Saturday at Las Vegas Ballpark, with the Ducks facing the UC Irvine Anteaters at noon. The Wildcats follow at 4:00 pm against the Vanderbilt Commodores.

All games of the Live Like Lou College Baseball Classic will be streamed exclusively on D1Baseball.com, with Mike Ferrin handling play-by-play duties and Mike Rooney providing color commentary.

The competitive races in Speed Stars demand focus and rhythm. Players sprint using alternating taps to maintain movement. Speed steadily becomes harder to manage. Mistakes immediately interrupt your flow. Maintaining calm reactions helps preserve momentum. Smooth runs feel satisfying and smooth. Practice improves control over time.

What a great game! Oregon's performance was impressive, especially with those home runs. It's amazing how sports can bring people together. Speaking of bringing things together, have you tried the ai image editor It's a fantastic tool for enhancing your photos and making them look professional without needing Photoshop skills.

On stockx reviews I purchased a pair of sneakers and I couldn't be happier with my experience! The selection was impressive, and the quality of the shoes exceeded my expectations. The shipping was prompt, and they arrived in perfect condition, making the unboxing feel like a special moment. I’m excited to wear them out and show them off, and I look forward to exploring more of their clothing options in the future!

Spent way too long on Poki last weekend — started with one puzzle game and ended up trying like five different ones. Everything loads right in the browser which is nice when you just want something quick without installing anything. The variety is honestly what keeps me coming back.
